Looks like a dinosaur!
Great shot! Happy WW
aww sweet shot! :)
Wow - is that the famous komodo dragon in one of their mating rituals? *kidding*
OMG! Kewel! Happy WW!
I'm guessing they are Monitor lizards, although maybe ZJ is right? Happy WW.
That's it! I'm going to go and give the small green lizards in my backyard a hug. Right now. They aren't so bad after all.
are those komodo dragons? awesome!
They are actually water monitors, a close cousin of the Komodo Dragon. These two were huge, standing on their back legs they were shoulder high to me. They were fighting, not hugging. I am not sure if it was part of a mating thing or not. Just after Dave snapped this shot a 3rd huge lizard came up and jumped in the fight. After a few moments and one of these ran away. I way too close, but what an amazing sight.
I'm not big on reptiles, so I'd be running away as fast as I could if I saw something like this in the wild. As the saying goes, 'feet don't fail me now.'
Wow! I didn't even notice it at first, I thought it was a tree trunk. Great shot! :-)
Great photo!Happy WW
Great picture. Is that a Monitor???
When my parents were missionaries in Indonesia (several years ago) we saw huge lizards like these. I wonder if they were the same kind?
