aw!!!!!!!!!!!!! lonzo is TWELVE. i'll try not to cry. :o( wow. tell him we all said happy birthday and we miss him dearly. and, girly - WATCH out with that present!!! holy cow. ;o) xoxo
Smart! And keep all targets away from your tires - just sayin. -- still that is a pretty cool gift for twelve! Are there any 'chalk tipped ones' (I don't really know what the right term is) so he can practice aiming and shooting without the sharp tips?
I don't know the term either but he has already cut down some bamboo and cut it length and been shooting those. And I caught him looking cup how to make arrows in his dangerous book for boys (As if any of my kids needed that book to be dangerous) It is an African side-of-the-road archery set. The "string" is furry and the arrows are bamboo tipped with some sort of rusty metal, so if the initial injury doesn't kill you the tetanus may get you later. We have a box set aside so he can practice aiming this weekend, closely supervised and far away form my tires, of course.

Happiest birthday wishes to Alonzo! Can't wait to hear all about the bow and arrow backyard adventures!

Thanks both of you!
Don't worry I took the arrows away. He is only allowed to have them if Dave or I are actually in the yard supervising. They are frighteningly sharp.
