It's not exactly summery here either 58 and raining, again. Although to be fair the came out and the temps soared over the weekend. Mid 70's and sunny all weekend. It was lovely!
I do own normal shoes! In fact I am looking forward to buying some more sandals once I am home this summer. European shoes are gorgeous but really out of my price range.
I hear you on the mani/pedi thing. I still miss that about Jakarta. I am hoping there will be someplace that I can get that done in Lilongwe.

I can wear the wild colors on my toes and it doesn't bother me, but I can't wear them on my fingers. It just bugs me.

Fun color polish... that's one of the few things I'll miss here. Regular, inexpensive mani / pedis!
