Too Much of a Good Thing

Could someone please explain why 3 rather smallish boys have enough clothes to dress an entire orphanage? On second thought make that three orphanages. Seriously even one of the boys has at least twice the clothes I have. Maybe I have kids clothing OCD and I don't know it.

By the end of the day each boy will be down to a reasonable amount of clothing. What's reasonable? 10-12 Shirts, 5-7 pair of pants, 1-2 pair of pj's, and a couple of jackets, and 1 swim suit. At least that's the plan. I have a lot of work to do. Better get cracking!

I'm doing the same thing at my house right now! It helps that Laura has recently outgrown a bunch of things.

I think I know why our weight estimate was so high :)

I have been keeping out grown clothes because with 3 boys I just keep passing it down, but I also never say no to other peoples hand-me-downs. Time to get rid of a bunch of stuff.

Jae I just folded a bunch of clothes and thought "Weren't those Ronin and Liam's?" so this is partly your fault. A lot of little Gian's clothes in there too!

David- You are NOT funny!

Oh I'm doing the same things too! I just gave away 3 boxes of clothes - and I still have another box to sell at the yard sale this Friday.

And how many outfits does a 1 year old need??

The really sad thing about that picture is when I took it I thought that was all the kids clothes but it wasn't. There was a load in the washer AND in the dryer plus I totally forgot Alonzo's clothes so that is only a bit over half the clothes I had to go through today.

We believe in handmedowns, and although my daughter loves her girly stuff, she likes getting cool tshirts from her big brother. I can't find clothes that fit well here easily, or our last post, so I have to order in advance of the next growth spurt. (My kids are very tall, very skinny...I'm behind on jeans actually, my son just outgrew his!) I tend to have 'clothes to grow into', 'clothes for now' and 'clothes that haven't been tossed yet'.
